INTERNATIONAL
The International Sport Jujitsu Association (ISJA) is the governing body for Sport Jujitsu through-out the world. The ISJA serves as an umbrella organization to major jujitsu groups around the world. It's sole purpose is to promote the growth of Sport Jujitsu. The ISJA does not issue rank nor is it involved with the internal or political affairs of its members. It accepts only organizational memberships and not individual membership. It is a non-profit organization and it's objectives are:
1. To promote the growth of Sport Jujitsu in a positive manner, without losing touch with the virtues of the art itself.
2. To assure fair play and equal opportunity to all martial artists who wish to participate in Sport Jujitsu.
3.To unite and keep solidarity among martial artistS regardless of style.
4.To someday see Sport Jujitsu accepted as an official
Olympic sport.
As a member of the ISJA you will be entitled to represent your country in legitimate International Sport Jujitsu competition. You will receive an official certificate of membership signed by the chairman of the ISJA recognizing your organization as the governing body for Sport Jujitsu in your country.
As an official director for the ISJA, it will be your duty to promote Sport Jujitsu throughout your country in a positive manner. You will be responsible for holding your own National Sport Jujtisu tournament in order to choose a team to represent your country in the Sport Jujitsu World Championships, which takes place every two years. Selection of team members must be based on each individual's performance and achievments, rather than political affiliations.
The ISJA has a uniform set of rules & regulations
that all representatives must follow. A rules video and a copy of the constitution
and by-laws will be furnished to every representative upon receipt of membership.
The
ISJA reserves the right to revoke the membership (without refund) of any
organization that does not adhere to the rules and regulations in the constitution
& by-laws.
